Superintendent Update

Dear Raider Families,

At this week's School Board meeting, Hastings Public Schools was honored with the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Association of School Business Officials International. This award recognizes the high quality and transparency of our Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.

This recognition reflects the care, accuracy, and attention to detail that go into our financial work. It is a result of consistent, behind-the-scenes efforts to ensure we are strong stewards of public resources while staying focused on supporting students. Thank you to Jen Seubert and our entire Finance Office for their leadership and expertise.

This time of year also gives us the opportunity to recognize several important staff groups across our district. On April 22, we celebrated Administrative Assistants, who keep our schools and offices running smoothly and serve as a welcoming first point of contact for many of our families. On May 1, we recognize our School Principals for their leadership, commitment, and daily work to support students and staff. We also celebrate our School Food Service team, who provide consistent care and service to students each day.

Each of these recognitions reminds us that strong systems and strong relationships go hand in hand. We are grateful for the people who make our district work each day, and for the care they bring to our students, families, and community.

Thank you for your continued support of Hastings Public Schools. We hope our students enjoyed a wonderful prom celebration and created lasting memories

Go Raiders!

Health and Wellness    Updates for Families

Student Wellness Survey

During the week of May 4 - 8, students in grades 3 - 12 will be asked to complete a short survey about how well the school district is promoting their health and well-being. This is an annual survey and will take students 5-10 minutes. You can preview the survey by clicking on this LINK. If you do not want your student to take this survey, please complete this form and return it to your student's school by May 1, 2026.

Immunizations

If you have a student in preschool, 6th, or 11th grade, please make sure they’re up to date on their immunizations before they head into kindergarten, 7th, or 12th grade. While these are required by the state, you can file for an exemption based on medical needs or personal beliefs. Please refer to page two of the Student Immunization Form for more info!

Parent Survey - How are we doing?

Parents and guardians are invited to complete this survey on student wellness. Responses are anonymous. Your feedback will help guide decisions regarding wellness in the Hastings Public Schools. Thank you!
