Dear HHS Parents, Guardians, and Students,

Welcome to the 2025–26 School Year at Hastings High School!

I’m thrilled to welcome all our incoming freshmen, as well as new students and families joining the Raider community this year. We’re excited for the journey ahead and the opportunities that await every student.

Hastings High School has a proud history of serving our community. The current high school building opened its doors in 2001, designed to provide modern learning spaces and facilities to meet the needs of students well into the future. Over the years, we have continued to enhance and adapt our spaces to support innovative programs, cutting-edge technology, and a safe, welcoming environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive.

As the year progresses, students will be learning more about our college and career pathway opportunities, designed to help them explore their interests and prepare for life after high school. We are also excited to launch new courses that expand these pathways and provide even more engaging, hands-on learning experiences. One of our most exciting additions is our Anatomage Table — a cutting-edge, 3D anatomy visualization and virtual dissection tool that will elevate learning in our health sciences pathway and beyond.

At HHS, we strive for excellence in everything we do. Your students will be guided by exceptional teachers and supported by a caring staff dedicated to helping them succeed academically, socially, and personally. We value every voice in our school community, so please know my door is always open.

Monday, August 18th- Student Schedules

Student schedules will be live on the Parent Portal.

Wednesday, August 27th- Open House 

Open House from 5-7 pm

Hastings High School Open House will be on Wednesday, August 27th from 5:00-7:00PM. This will be a true open house where students and families can find their classrooms and lockers and explore the building. We will host a meeting for freshmen, new students, and families in the auditorium from 5-5:45. For any students or families who are unable to attend this presentation, we will share the slide deck immediately after the event. There will be an activities fair and access to community resources as well.

Tuesday, September 2nd- First Day of School for 9th Grade Only

The first day of school is ONLY FOR 9th GRADE!

We are excited for the freshman students to spend the day meeting their  link crew leaders and teachers for the 2025-26 school year.

Here is what to expect:

-Link Crew leaders (juniors and seniors) will be trying to contact all students via phone or email.

-Students are to arrive at the high school around 7:45 am and hang out in the commons and we will direct them the rest of the day!

-Students DO NOT bring a backpack and please dress comfortably.

- School breakfast and  lunches are free again this year. 

-Students will meet link crew leaders, receive welcome messages, participage in small and large group activities, have lunch, tour the building, walk through their class schedule, and school pictures will also be taken in the middle of the day.

Our junior and senior Link Crew Leaders will have gone through three days of training and will be VERY EXCITED to make our freshmen orientation at Hastings High School a wonderful experience!

Wednesday, September 3rd- First day of Classes for 9th-12th Grade

Students are to follow their schedules for first semester classes.
