Dear HHS Parents, Guardians and Students,
|
This week brings a lot of excitement and momentum as we move forward together! With Minnesota starting to come out of a deep freeze we can't help but to keep our eyes on spring and brighter days ahead.
One of the upcoming highlights is SnoWeek next week! We are looking forward to a week of fun, school spirit and the student involvement that comes with it. We encourage everyone to participate and enjoy a week showing off their Raider Pride.
In addition, registration for the 2026-2027 school year is now underway. Please take time to review the information emailed home, as well as the information below, to complete registration steps as soon as possible. Early registration helps us plan schedules, staffing and programing to best meet the needs of our students. Thank you for staying connected and supporting a strong, positive school community. Warmly, Scott Doran |

December 2025 Congratulations Bobby Wargo
|
|
|
Bobby was nominated by Mr. Dietz, Mr. Davenport and Mr. Peterson for Rotary Student of the Month. All three describe Bobby as genuine, and hardworking with a great attitude. They praise Bobby for setting a great example to everyone around him by being dependable and respectful while also being willing to help everyone! He is a natural leader who also takes an active role in the Tech Club.
Congratulations to Bobby on this well-deserved recognition! |

This week's faculty feature is Todd Levos! |
|
|
Congratulations to Mr. Levos for being recognized as this week's outstanding educator. Mr. Levos is instrumental in supporting all of our alternative efforts here in ISD 200. He coordinates our ALP, is the lead for our Hastings Online Program, assists students with credit recovery throughout the school year, all while also teaching courses during the day.
Mr. Levos can usually be seen in the building around 6am and, as a coach, can be seen on the sidelines until late into the evening.
We are lucky to have Mr. Levos as a teacher, mentor, colleague and friend. |

With Cold weather season upon us, please make sure you are checking the Hastings Public Schools website for the most up to date information about school closings. |
For students who drive to school, remember to start planning ahead for the chilly temps! Start those cars early and give yourself plenty of time to make it to school safely when the snow falls. |

Below are reminders about our cell phone policy at HHS
All cell phones must be put away during class time - even out in the pod or hallway. Students are allowed to use their phones during passing time and at lunch. This Policy carries through for the entire school year First Offense: The device confiscated and turned into the office
The student may pick up their device at the end of the day
Second Offense: The device confiscated and turned into the office The student may pick up their device at the end of the day Beyond the second offense : The device confiscated and turned into the office A parent/guardian must pick up the device from the Student Office
If cell phone usage continues to be an ongoing problem, principals will work with parents/guardians on a behavioral plan
