Mr. Doran

Dear HHS Parents,
Guardians and Students,

Welcome back! We hope everyone enjoyed a restful and refreshing winter break and is ready for a strong start to the new year.

As we settle back into routines, we encourage families to keep an eye on the sky and plan ahead for inclement weather, especially if you have a new driver in the family. Winter conditions can change quickly, and a little extra preparation goes a long way in keeping everyone safe.

We are also quickly heading toward the end of Semester One in less than two weeks, making this an important time for students to stay focused and organized. To support students as they prepare for finals, Raider Connect will take place this Thursday and Friday, offering time and assistance to review material, ask questions, and strengthen understanding.

Thank you for your continued support as we finish the semester strong!

Warmly,
Scott Doran

Calling all Freshmen!

Our annual Cocoa and Cram session will be taking place
THIS FRIDAY, January 9th during Raider connect time.

Cocoa and Cram is an event offered to our 9th grade students
to prepare them for their very first set of Finals and help to build a strong academic environment here at HHS.
Students will choose either the first or second block of Raider Connect time and will meet in the commons.

This is a GREAT opportunity for students to enjoy some snacks, check in with teachers, and each other!

NEW this year : our Link Crew Leaders will be on hand to help give their best kept study tips and tricks.

We are so looking forward to working with the 9th grade students to help them feel prepared and ready for their first finals!

THIS WEEK

THURSDAY, JANUARY 8TH
FRIDAY, JANUARY 9TH

This week we will have our 3rd Raider Connect Time of the year.
As a reminder - this is a great way for students to work with their teacher in a class they might need some extra guidance in or assignments to make up. With the end of the semester fast approaching, this is a good opportunity for your student to connect, review and finalize any missing work!

With Cold weather season upon us, please make sure you are checking the Hastings Public Schools website for the most up to date information about school closings.

For students who drive to school, remember to start planning ahead for the chilly temps! Start those cars early and give yourself plenty of time to make it to school safely when the snow falls.
