Mr. Doran

Dear HHS Parents,
Guardians and Students,

We’re looking forward to several important upcoming dates.

Raider Connect will take place on February 19th and 20th, providing students with dedicated time and support as they check in on progress, ask questions, and prepare for upcoming coursework. We will also be hosting a number of our industry partners as we help students explore employability skills.

Parent–teacher conferences are scheduled for the evening of February 26th and all day on February 27th. These conferences are an important opportunity for families and staff to connect, share progress, and work together in support of each student’s success.

Thank you for staying engaged and partnering with us as we move toward the next stretch of the school year.

Warmly,
Scott Doran

CONGRATS Charlie Reamer!

Charlie was nominated by Ms. Koerner, who describes Charlie as a bright light for HHS. He wants to create a positive high school experience not only for himself, but for ALL of his peers.
Charlie is a leader of several school programs including Student Council and uses those platforms to create the positive experiences he wants for all. He is hard-working, thoughtful and dependable.

Congratulations Charlie on this well-deserved recognition!

This week's faculty feature is Bert Casperson!

Bert Casperson is a committed presence in our school community and consistently goes above and beyond for students.

Some of the many initiatives to which he contributes his time and expertise include Empty Bowls, the High School Course Guide, and the High School website.
Bert is always willing to stay after school to help students and has served as a mentor to many, including Officer Freeman when she was a student.

You may also find him on stage at the Hootenany, playing the drums.

Congratulations Mr. Casperson!

HHS SnoWeek 2026: Mission Accomplished.

Our students showed amazing spirit all week during our dress-up days and a high-energy pepfest featuring hilarious mini-games and a legendary teacher flash mob (we’re still recovering from those moves ), this week was one for the history books.

We capped it all off with the 2nd annual total takeover of
Nickelodeon Universe at the MOA with over
500 students enjoying the rides!

Big shoutout to our SnoWeek Royalty for representing every grade
level with style (see the full list below! ) and to Student Council  for all their hard work; from setting up for pepfest to renting out the park and providing a safe, fun, and memorable
night for our Raiders, you are much appreciated!

With Cold weather season upon us, please make sure you are checking the Hastings Public Schools website for the most up to date information about school closings.

For students who drive to school, remember to start planning ahead for the chilly temps! Start those cars early and give yourself plenty of time to make it to school safely when the snow falls.
