Dear HMS Parents, Guardians, and Students,
This week at Hastings Middle School was filled with creativity, leadership, and engaged learning. They showed focus and determination during mid-year reading and math assessments, and teachers were proud of the effort and growth students demonstrated. Many classes also took time to reinforce our core values of respect and responsibility as we prepared for the long weekend ahead.
Our students and staff truly stepped up as leaders and innovators over the past few days. The Raider Way team launched a school-wide t-shirt design challenge, Seventh grade staff began preparing for next week’s Courage Retreat, a day dedicated to building resilience and positive peer connections. In addition, our Student Council eagerly embraced new responsibilities by planning upcoming school events. It was wonderful to watch them take ownership of school traditions and practice leadership skills.
Thank you for your continued support of our HMS community. We are proud of our students’ hard work and enthusiasm.
