Dear Kennedy Families,
Last Thursday, Kennedy was full of excitement as our students joined in the annual PTA Fun Run! From kindergarten through fourth grade, students ran, cheered, and supported each other and tried to keep pace with the Cougar mascot. Students had the opportunity to challenge themselves and celebrate their personal achievements while supporting our school. We loved seeing the teamwork and encouragement among friends—it’s exactly the kind of Cougar spirit we encourage and celebrate every day.
A huge thank you goes out to our PTA board members, volunteers, staff, and families who made this event possible. Your time, energy, and support help fund important programs, classroom resources, and activities that enhance learning and make Kennedy an even better place for our students. It was a fun evening filled with smiles, laughter, and Cougar pride.
Fall Conferences Next Week
As we head into next week, we’re looking forward to connecting with families during fall conferences. These conferences are an important opportunity to celebrate your child’s growth, review their progress so far, and discuss goals for the months ahead. Teachers will share insights about academic progress, social development, and ways we can continue partnering to support your child’s success.
To make the most of your conference, consider asking questions such as:
What skills should my child focus on improving most right now?
How is my child performing compared to grade-level expectations?
What strategies can we use at home to support what’s being taught in class?
How does my child approach new or challenging tasks?
Does my child participate and stay engaged during lessons?
How does my child handle transitions or directions in the classroom?
How does my child contribute to the classroom community?
What’s the best way to stay in touch about my child’s growth between conferences?
Thank you for taking the time to attend and engage in these important conversations—it truly makes a difference!
Sincerely,
Mr. Latch
