Dear Kennedy Families, 

Breakfast Reminder 🍎

We want to remind families that students have access to breakfast each morning—even if they arrive close to our 8:50 a.m. start bell. If your child arrives near the bell, they should still check in with their classroom teacher first, then head down to the cafeteria to pick up breakfast.

Depending on how close it is to the start of instruction, students may be asked to bring their breakfast back to the classroom so they are safely supervised and don’t miss learning time. Our goal is to make sure students start the day fed, settled, and ready to learn, while keeping mornings running smoothly.

Thank you to our teachers for the dedicated and collaborative work during our recent reading support coaching day with each team, along with Catalyst coaching. I truly appreciate the high level of engagement and professionalism you bring to this work—and to our students—every single day.

A big thank you to our parent helpers and to our students for helping make the 4th grade Science Museum and 3rd grade Bell Museum field trips such positive experiences this week. These opportunities don’t happen without strong teamwork and support.

Great job to our Kennedy Cougar Choir for their fantastic performance of the national anthem at the high school wrestling meet! You represented Kennedy so well, and we are proud of you.

This allows us adequate time to connect with your child's teacher. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure that all students arrive home safely.

This week, Fourth Grade went to the Science Museum! Huge thank-you to the Kennedy Cougar PTA for sponsoring this trip for our kids. Extra shout out to our Parent Chaperones for making this possible. ♥

Elementary Conferences are scheduled for the evenings of Wednesday, February 25th and Thursday, February 26th, as well as the morning of Friday, February 27th.

The students have a snack time each day! 🥨
Our School Social Worker helps to coordinate snacks for kids who come to school without one. If you want to help make this possible, you can send prepackaged snacks to the Main Office between 7:30am and 4pm.

Student Favorites: popcorn, goldfish, chocolate chip granola bars, applesauce pouches, and pretzels.
