Dear Raider Families,
As we move into May, there is a lot to celebrate across Hastings Public Schools. This time of year always brings a strong sense of pride as we recognize the people who make a difference in the lives of our students every day.
Next week, May 4 through 8, we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week. Our teachers make a lasting impact through their care, dedication, and commitment to helping every student succeed. We are grateful for all they do for our students and families.
We also recognize National School Nurse Day on May 6. Our school nurses play an essential role in supporting student health and well-being, helping to ensure students are safe and ready to learn each day.
We are proud to celebrate our students at the 3rd Annual Native Graduate Honoring Ceremony on Tuesday, May 5, at 6:00 PM. This meaningful event honors the accomplishments of our Native American students while celebrating culture, identity, and community.
Last week, we celebrated our staff at the annual Employee Recognition and Retirement event. Congratulations to Pete McGinnis, our Employee of the Year. We also honored recipients of years of service and retirees whose dedication and commitment have made a lasting impact on our schools and community.
Thank you to the staff and volunteers who made this event such a success.
Thank you for your continued support of Hastings Public Schools as we head into the final weeks of the school year.
Go Raiders!
