Dear families,
Returning to Routines Welcome back! January is a natural time for a "reset" in our classrooms. This week, our teachers are intentionally reviewing schoolwide procedures and daily schedules. When students know exactly what to expect, their anxiety drops and their ability to focus on new learning rises. We want our students to feel secure and confident as they transition from the fun of break back into the rhythm of the school day.
• At Home: You can support this by re-establishing predictable morning and bedtime routines. Preparing backpacks and outfits the night before can prevent "morning rush" stress and help the day start with a sense of calm.
• Ask your child: “What is one part of your school routine that makes you feel the most confident or ready for the day?”
•Adjust instruction and interventions based on each child’s learning progress
•Takeaway: Create a safe space for students to focus on learning and growth.
Sincerely,
Mr. Esterby
