Dear Raider Families,
As we enter this season of gratitude, I am reminded each day that we are Hastings Public Schools, where students are at the heart of all we do. This belief shapes our purpose, our priorities, and the way we show up for one another. It is woven into every classroom interaction, every program we build, and every partnership we form.
Hastings Public Schools has so much to be proud of. Across our district, we see powerful examples of what it means to put students first. In preschool and elementary classrooms, curiosity is sparking new learning, hands-on activities are helping students make meaningful connections, and teachers are building strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and essential classroom skills. At Hastings Middle School, collaboration and leadership are helping students build confidence, strengthen their skills, and take on new challenges. At Hastings High School, students are setting ambitious goals, supporting one another, and achieving in academics, arts, activities, and athletics.

We are equally proud of all the adults who contribute to our students’ success, teachers who bring learning to life, support staff who keep our schools running smoothly and create welcoming spaces, and administrators who work each day to ensure students have the resources and opportunities they need. Families and community partners further strengthen this work, reminding our students that a caring, committed community supports them.
Every success, whether big or small, reflects the collective spirit of Hastings Public Schools: a district grounded in connection, pride, and possibility.
As we continue this school year, I extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who contributes to this work. Thank you for believing in our mission and for ensuring that our students truly are at the heart of all we do.
We hope all families enjoy the upcoming fall break. Please note that there will be no Raider Update on November 30.
