The next step in this important work is the refinement of our Vision Card. The Vision Card will bring the plan to life by outlining how we will measure progress in key areas such as student learning, staff engagement, family partnerships, and community connection. Together, they will help us celebrate growth, track our progress, and stay accountable to our goals.
Thank you to everyone who contributed ideas, feedback, and support throughout this process. Your voices have helped shape a plan that reflects the heart of Hastings and our shared belief that every learner matters.
Preparing for Winter Weather
As we move into the winter months, we want to remind families and staff to be prepared for the possibility of inclement weather that could impact the school day.
Hastings Public Schools will continue to prioritize student and staff safety when making weather-related decisions. Our district allows for two traditional snow days, followed by up to five e-learning days if weather conditions require additional closures. Each building will communicate specific information about e-learning expectations, schedules, and student assignments as needed.
To ensure you receive timely updates, please take a moment to verify that your contact information is current with your child’s school. Accurate phone numbers and email addresses are essential for quick and reliable communication.
When school closures or delays occur, information will be shared in a variety of ways, including phone calls, text messages, emails, the district website, our Hastings Public Schools Facebook page, and local news stations.
Thank you for helping us stay connected and prepared as we navigate another Minnesota winter together.
Go Raiders!
