Dear families,

During the week of November 24, our kindergarten through 3rd grade students will be completing a short 10 question survey about their experience at our school. This survey is similar to the School Perception Survey that our 4th graders completed earlier this year.

The purpose of the survey is to help us better understand how connected and engaged our students feel at school. Their feedback provides valuable insight as we continue working to ensure that every child feels welcomed, supported, and inspired to learn each day.

A copy of the survey will be posted on our school website for families to review. If you prefer that your child not participate, you may choose to opt them out by completing the form linked on our district webpage and returning it to school by Friday, Nov. 21.  Student Survey  Opt out form

Thank you for partnering with us to make our school a positive and caring place for all students.

World Kindness Day

On Thursday, Nov. 13, we will be celebrating World Kindness Day and are asking students to wear bright or neon colored clothing. Classes will challenge themselves to complete a bingo style activity board with different ways to show kindness at school. The purpose of this day is to focus on the positive impact of kindness, acknowledging both large and small acts like volunteering or simply smiling at a stranger.

PSA positions

Hastings Public Schools is currently looking to hire multiple paraprofessionals to support students at both the elementary and high school levels. If interested, please click the link below to apply or attend our district job fair. The Job Fair will be held in the foyer at the High School on November 13th from 3:00-5:00. On-site interviews will be conducted, as well.  Apply now!
